100% of the diet of our grassfed animals consists of freshly grazed pasture and stored grasses (hay or grass silage.)

Hormones or steroids are never administered to our animals.

Animals raised without feeding genetically modified organisms such as GMO corn or soybeans.

Free-choice minerals are provided. We believe that our animals know what minerals they need and when. Our free choice minerals provide 16 different options for them to choose from as well as providing Kelp from time to time. We also provide apple cider vinegar and diatomaceous earth on a regular basis both as a supplement and as natural dewormers.

In order to avoid the use of antibiotics, we do vaccinate our mother cows and calves. All animals that are slated for the beef program do not receive vaccinations. Sub therapeutic (daily fed low level dose) medications that are commonly used in confinement production systems and by conventional producers are not used in our pasture system. In the event of a serious health matter, we do allow for limited use of therapeutic medication to prevent suffering or death. In such cases, the animal is taken out of our retail beef program. From time to time, animals who received treatment and after more than twice the prescribed withdrawal period length of time has passed, we will sell these animals under a different label and after full disclosure to interested buyers. We feel that this exception is only practical to ensure the ethical treatment of our livestock.         

Our animals are raised in the open pastures or fields with access to shade. On our farm we let the cows and pasture land sustain each other through planned grazing.

We manage and use the symbiotic nature of the animals on the land to renew the health of our soils and pastures. This is our passion. In so doing the land renews it's health and no pesticides are passed through to you.
